What is GCF?

The Graduate Christian Fellowship at the University of Chicago is a community of graduate and professional students devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ. We promote love, prayer, service, and hospitality. We are pursuing growth and accountability in both our spiritual and academic lives, integrating our faith with our academic disciplines and vocations, and engaging our campus and colleagues with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Mailing List

There are actually two mailing lists for GCF, one moderated and used for official announcements, and the other (GCF-Open) unmoderated and used for general announcements.

The Official GCF Mailing List

The main GCF mailing list is used for official announcements from staff. It is low-volume; usually only one message per week during the academic year. Invitations to Large Group, small groups, service events, and retreats are sent to this list.

You must enter a privacy password. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.

The GCF-Open Mailing List

The GCF-Open list is unmoderated, so anybody can send an email to it! It's designed so that everyone involved with GCF can invite others to events, share prayer requests, or make simply make announcements of general interest. We hope it will help build community.
