What is GCF?

The Graduate Christian Fellowship at the University of Chicago is a community of graduate and professional students devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ. We promote love, prayer, service, and hospitality. We are pursuing growth and accountability in both our spiritual and academic lives, integrating our faith with our academic disciplines and vocations, and engaging our campus and colleagues with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Veritas Forum - Tim Keller

Time:03/07/2008 - 7:00pm until 8:30 pm
Place:Kent 107

On Friday, March 7th @ 7pm we are co-sponsoring (along with a number of other Christian fellowships on campus and area churches) a talk and open Q&A with Tim Keller, senior pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York, NY. Tim Keller’s talk is titled “The Leap of Doubt” and is based upon issues raised in his latest book project, “The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism.” This is a great opportunity to extend the invitation to friends who might be interested in Christianity or have questions about religious belief.

Leading up to the Veritas event, there will be a table in the Reynolds Club where students can submit questions over the lunch hour (11-1) dealing with Christianity, doubt, religion, and etc. These questions will be given to Tim Keller prior to his talk.

We’ve also got some on-campus prayer meetings and a 24-hour independent prayer sign-up going on beforehand. Let’s lift this up for maximum impact in our community!

Tuesday (March 4), 12-1pm — Campus Prayer in the Reynolds Club Conference Room (019)

Thursday (March 6), 7-8pm — Campus Prayer in Bartlett Lounge
