This Friday, Jan. 11th, is our annual movie night at the start of the Winter Quarter.

We’ll be watching “The Mission” (1986), set in the stunning mountains of Brazil. The story takes place in the 18th C, focusing on the plight of the Spanish Jesuits and local Amerindians when the colony is ceded to a pro-slavery Portugal. The bloodshed and violence of brother fighting against brother is set against the hope of redemption.

Running time, 2 hours

Drinks and snacks will be provided, including popcorn (of course). Come and bring a friend w/ you!

Note the change in location for GCF large group this quarter! We are meeting in Bartlett Lounge, NOT the Reynolds Club
